Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz has expressed solidarity with victims of the recent floods in Accra, assuring affected residents that the team’s thoughts remain with them despite being away preparing for their next match.

The Portuguese coach shared the message on behalf of the Black Stars team following heavy rains that caused severe flooding in parts of the Greater Accra Region, leading to destruction of property, displacement of residents and disruptions to daily activities.

Queiroz said the team was deeply concerned about the situation back home and extended their sympathy to families and individuals affected by the disaster.

“Our thoughts have not left Ghana,” he said, adding that the team shares in the pain of those impacted by the floods.

The Black Stars coach noted that although the team is focused on their football assignment, the challenges facing Ghanaians remain important to them.

He added that the squad carries the support and strength of the Ghanaian people with them as they continue their campaign.

The message comes as Ghana continues to respond to the impact of heavy rains, with emergency agencies working to support affected communities and restore normalcy.

The Black Stars are expected to continue their preparations for their upcoming fixture, while dedicating their efforts to making the nation proud both on and off the pitch.
