Gospel musician Grace Ashly has revealed that Medeama Sporting Club owner Moses Armah, popularly known as “Parker”, funded the production of her latest cheer song for Ghana’s senior national football team, the Black Stars.
The musician says the support came from the football administrator despite her inability to secure assistance from football authorities.
Grace Ashly disclosed in an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z that Medeama SC owner Moses Armah “Parker” sponsored her newly released Black Stars cheer song.
According to the singer, she did not receive support from either the Ghana Football Association or the Sports Ministry for the project.
Grace Ashly has been composing and performing cheer songs for the Black Stars since 2006 and remains one of the team’s most dedicated celebrity supporters.
Her latest release is part of a growing number of songs produced by Ghanaian musicians to rally support for the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Other artistes who have released Black Stars-themed songs this year include Kofi Kinaata, Wendy Shay, Keche, Donzy, Eb’o, Prophet Joseph Atarah and Stonebwoy.
The gospel musician also expressed optimism that the Black Stars can progress beyond the group stage and make a strong impact at the World Cup.
In the same interview, Grace Ashly said she was disappointed by the dismissal of former Black Stars coach Otto Addo, arguing that strengthening his technical team would have been a better option.
Grace Ashly’s latest cheer song adds to a long list of musical campaigns she has undertaken in support of the Black Stars, with the singer hoping her music will inspire the team to a successful campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
