The head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo, has released a 28-man squad for the friendly games against Austria and Germany.
The squad was announced on Monday, March 16, as part of Ghana’s preparations toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in the United States, Canada and Mexico in June.
Three new players have earned debut call-ups for the two matches, with Marvin Senaya, Derrick Luckassen and Daniel Agyei handed the opportunity to impress on the international stage. Their inclusion highlights the technical team’s intention to test new options and strengthen squad depth ahead of the global tournament.
Despite the fresh additions, the squad still maintains a strong core led by experienced figures such as Thomas Partey, who is expected to play a key leadership role in midfield. In attack, Jordan Ayew, Iñaki Williams and Antoine Semenyo will be relied upon to deliver goals and attacking threat.
However, the Black Stars will be without two key players. Mohammed Kudus misses out due to a muscle injury, while defender Mohammed Salisu has been ruled out with an ACL injury.
The two friendlies are scheduled to be played on March 27 and March 30 in Vienna and Stuttgart respectively, providing Ghana with a crucial test against top European opposition as they prepare for the World Cup.
