The Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Hon. Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi, has announced that GHS30 million has been released to support the completion of the Santasi Roundabout to Bekwai Roundabout dual carriageway project in the Ashanti Region. He disclosed this in an interview on Fakye TV’s DayBreak Morning Show, confirming that the contractor has returned to site after earlier suspending work due to financial challenges.

According to him, the project will be completed in phases, with at least one lane expected to be ready and opened to traffic within the next three months. He explained that the road serves as a crucial link for residents and patients traveling to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital from parts of the Central, Western, Adansi, and Amansie areas, making its completion a priority.

Responding to questions about the project timeline, the KMA boss indicated that the road would not be ready by the end of April as previously speculated. He expressed confidence that the second week of June is a more realistic target for completion, emphasizing the importance of the stretch in easing traffic and improving access to essential health services.
