League Leaders Medeama Take On Nations FC After Signing Abdul Rahaman Mohammed

In a highly competitive clash this weekend, the Abrankese-based outfit will play host to the Yellow and Mauve at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in matchday 21 of the domestic top-flight.
In an interview with the club’s media, the former Black Stars assistant gaffer expressed his outfit determination to the secure positive results against Nations FC.

“Nations FC is a very good team with a very good coach behind them. We hope to grind positive result at away” he said.

With 43 points from 20 matches, Medeama now sit eight points clear at the summit, while Aduana FC and Asante Kotoko are locked on 35 points in second and third place respectively.
Nations FC, on the other side, find themselves in the 12th position, accumulating 24 points after 20 matches into the Ghanaian top-flight.

Medeama Sporting Club also announced the signing of striker Abdul Rahaman Mohammed on a two-and-a-half-year contract as part of efforts to further reinforce the squad for the ongoing Ghana Premier League title push.

The forward joins the Mauve and Yellows from Tra United SC of Tanzania, bringing with him valuable experience and proven quality at the highest level. Abdul Rahaman is no stranger to Ghanaian football, having previously featured for Nsoatreman FC, where he played a key role in their historic MTN FA Cup triumph in 2024.

His acquisition during the second transfer window underlines Medeama’s ambition to add depth, competition, and cutting edge to the attacking department as the club intensifies its pursuit of domestic silverware this season.
