Perfect Eight: Arsenal Seal Champions League Group in Style

Arsenal completed a flawless Champions League group campaign with a 3–2 win over Kairat at the Emirates Stadium, finishing top of their group and booking automatic qualification to the knockout stage. Mikel Arteta’s side made a fast start as Viktor Gyökeres struck inside two minutes, though the visitors quickly responded when Jorginho converted a penalty after Riccardo Calafiori was judged to have fouled him.

Kai Havertz, making his first start in nearly a year, restored Arsenal’s lead with a composed finish following good build-up play from Gyökeres. Gabriel Martinelli later added a third, tapping in after Havertz turned provider. A late defensive error allowed Ricardinho to score a consolation goal for Kairat, but it did little to dampen the occasion as Arsenal secured their eighth straight European win and avoided the play-off round.
