A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team, Evangelist Richard Prah, has urged Ghanaians not to dismiss prophecies outright but rather respond to them with prayer and spiritual vigilance. Speaking on Teknokrat on Focus FM with host Sika Audrey Dzifa, Evangelist Prah stressed that both individuals and leaders should seek divine intervention whenever a prophecy is made about them.
“Anybody who has seen something about you, you should pray about it. Let us not be in a haste to rubbish anything that has been said about you, as some people operate with evil spirits and will ensure that it happens,” he explained.
He expressed concern that many modern-day prophecies seem aimed at gaining popularity. According to him, some prophets allegedly perform incantations or consultations to ensure their predictions come true, just to appear powerful.
Evangelist Prah also questioned the credibility of certain prophetic claims, noting that videos of these prophecies often surface only after the predicted event has occurred. “I ask myself, what kind of God will give you a prophecy and then you will keep it secret, only to come and be competing for who saw it first?” he queried.
He challenged prophets to take responsibility for delivering their messages to the right people rather than using the excuse of being unable to reach them. “In the past when we did not have social media, God still spoke to men and sent them directly to their targets.
Now, with all these communication channels, there’s no excuse,” he said. Evangelist Prah concluded by urging the public to remain alert and prayerful when faced with prophecies.
“There is no direction greater than prayer,” he emphasized.
