PARENA consult, a final year group from the Media and Communications students in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, brings attention to the works of Happy broiler and Grills. Speaking on Focus Fm with Albert Kwabena Woli, PARENA consult acknowledged that, Happy broiler and Grills have embarked on a four(4) year long project which seeks to give jobs to the youth, especially Females. In this regard, PARENA consult is running a promotional campaign for this beneficial project.
According to Esther Tsegah the group’s secretary, the team has earlier projected this initiative by creating media contents and websites, visiting traditional halls and hostels in the university community amongst other activities they have embarked on. PARENA consult explained that, not only do they share in the goal of the Happy broiler project of creating jobs for the youth through agriculture, they are also interested in creating commercial value for Happy broiler and Grills.
This year 2025, PARENA consult in partnership with Happy broiler and Grills are donating to King Jesus Charity home with some farm items from the fields of Happy broiler and other things from PARENA consult. The project lead Pamela Asamoah Boaduwaa shares with Focus Fm’s listeners, the inspiration behind the donation “This donation is done in order for the project to make a real impact as well as show love and care to those who are in need” She explained.
Jennifer Mensah, the coordinator for Happy Broiler and Grills explained that, even though KNUST poultry farm has been in existence for so long, their 4 year project has been in existence for only a year, but has seen to significant success and improvement. She also talked about how funding of the project has been so far.
“We got our funding from Mastercard Foundation in partnership with Agri-impact who share in our goal of giving jobs to the youth through agricultural means. From then, we continued the cycle and we are existing because we have the money to be in the market.”
Primarily, the works of Happy broiler include; raising broiler chickens and layering for eggs, sales of grilled chicken and eggs, lambs, pork meats and others. PARENA consult are open for support and donations from individuals in order to extend help to a larger number of beneficiaries.
They also advice that, people eat from Happy broiler and Grills since all their products are organic and healthy for consumption.
