Aspiring and practicing nurses looking to advance their careers now have a golden opportunity at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), as the university continues to roll out its Nursing Top-Up Programmes designed to enhance qualifications and skills in the health sector. Speaking on Focus FM’s Good Morning KNUST show, Junior Assistant Registrar Mr. Thomas Baakyiirsie and Principal Administrative Assistant Mr. Kwabena Sika Berko Aning shared insights into the structure, flexibility, and benefits of the programme, which runs for two academic years under either the Regular or Sandwich mode.
“This programme is structured to accommodate everyone, from working professionals to recent graduates,” Mr. Baakyiirsie noted. “We want nurses to be able to upgrade themselves without giving up their jobs.”
