The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Heritage Christian University (HCU) even after the latter’s attainment of a presidential charter. This pledge was made during a courtesy call by HCU’s delegation, led by its President, Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah, at the KNUST Council Chamber.
Dr. Twumasi-Ankrah expressed deep gratitude to KNUST for its mentorship since the signing of their affiliate agreement in 2012, noting that the university’s guidance played a crucial role in HCU’s transformation into a fully-fledged institution. “KNUST has stood by us and mentored us over the years, and within a short period, we have gained the presidential charter.
With this milestone, HCU has become a fully-fledged university,” he remarked. Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, congratulated HCU on its achievement while advising the institution not to become complacent.
She urged them to strive for continuous improvement to maintain high academic and institutional standards. The meeting also saw the presence of the Pro Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor David Asamoah; Senior Assistant Registrar and Affiliations Officer, Mrs. Oluwakemi Abisola Titiloye; and Junior Assistant Registrar, Mr. Gibridu Oppong.
