A renowned businessman and philanthropist, Mr. Akwasi Akowuah Gyamfi, has launched the AAKAID Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on reducing poverty and fostering sustainable development in Ghana. The foundation aims to tackle issues in education, health, and community development through innovative initiatives and targeted projects.
Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Gyamfi highlighted the foundation’s mission to empower individuals and communities. “Sustainable change starts with individual empowerment,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of addressing systemic challenges through scholarships, health interventions, and community-driven development projects.
The foundation’s sustainability strategy includes a partnership with AAKOIL, a fuel distribution company, where one pesewa from every litre of fuel sold at AAKOIL stations will support AAKAID’s initiatives. This unique funding model is designed to ensure continuous financial backing for scholarships, mobile health units, and strategic community projects, particularly in underserved areas.
Inspired by the words of Mother Teresa, “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one,” Mr. Gyamfi reiterated his commitment to sparking lasting change, one individual at a time. The AAKAID Foundation is poised to play a transformative role in addressing poverty and empowering communities across Ghana.
