Ecobank Supports Education; Completes Three-Year Laptop Donation to KNUST

Ecobank Ghana has fulfilled its three-year pledge to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) by completing the donation of 300 laptops under the Vice-Chancellor’s “Support One Needy Student with One Laptop” (SONSOL) initiative. Last week, the bank presented its final batch of 100 HP laptops at a ceremony in the KNUST Council Chamber.

Representing the Managing Director, Abena Osei-Poku, Ecobank’s Michael Owusu-Acheaw highlighted the bank’s commitment to education as a cornerstone of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, assured the Ecobank delegation that the laptops would be distributed to deserving students.

She also commended Ecobank for its continuous support of equitable educational opportunities and its broader impact in Ghana and Africa. This donation reinforces the strong partnership between Ecobank and KNUST, underscoring a shared vision for accessible education.
