Professor Dadson Awunyo-Vitor Urges Graduates to Evolve with the Changing World

The Provost of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor Dadson Awunyo-Vitor, has urged the university’s newly graduated students to continuously refine their skills to meet the demands of an ever-evolving world. Speaking at the 58th Congregation Ceremony, Professor Awunyo-Vitor emphasized the need for graduates to stay ahead of emerging trends, particularly the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence in various fields.

He encouraged them to use their knowledge to address societal issues and avoid placing financial gain above human-centered goals. “As the world continues to evolve, and Artificial Intelligence makes its roads in all disciplines, I will urge you to continue to build on your skills and knowledge so you can remain relevant in the discipline you choose to operate.

Make use of your skills to solve societal problems, do not put money ahead of humanity, and do what you love, and the money will follow,” he stated. In a historic moment for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the ceremony also marked the graduation of the first-ever batch of 51 students from the BSc Packaging Technology program.

The graduates specialized in various fields, including Food Packaging, Healthcare Packaging, Packaging Design and Graphics, and Packaging Value Chain Management.
