The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Education Winneba (UEW) have booked their spots in the final of the Graphic Business Tertiary Business Sense Challenge Version 6.0. A third finalist, yet to be determined, will emerge from the ongoing contest between the University of Ghana (UG) and SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SD-DBIDS).
In a tightly contested semifinal, KNUST secured a hard-fought victory over long-time rivals, the University of Cape Coast (UCC), with a final score of 75.5 to 62.5. Both universities began the competition evenly matched, each scoring 16 points in the first round.
However, KNUST pulled ahead during the second round, opening an 8-point lead with their superior performance in calculations. UCC momentarily regained the lead in the third and fourth rounds, extending it to 5.2 points by the end of Round 4B.
However, KNUST made a dramatic comeback in the final round by scoring 10 points in the riddles, securing their place in the final for the second consecutive year. In the other semifinal, defending champions UEW comfortably defeated the University for Development Studies (UDS) with a commanding score of 60.5 to 28.16.
UEW dominated all five rounds, solidifying their chance to defend their title in the final showdown.
