KNUST Warns Against Admission Fraud; Urges Caution Among Prospective Students

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is alerting prospective students and their guardians to a fraudulent syndicate falsely claiming to facilitate admissions. In a statement issued on Friday, 23 August 2024, the University exposed this group’s activities, which involve using fake email addresses, such as “knust.inscript@gmail.com,” to solicit payments and personal information from unsuspecting applicants.

KNUST emphasized that no individual, agent, or third party is authorized to manage admissions on behalf of the university. The University urges all prospective students and guardians to exercise extreme caution and engage solely with the KNUST Admission Office to avoid falling victim to these scams.

The statement further reminded stakeholders that official undergraduate admission forms are available at all regional post offices nationwide or can be purchased by dialing the short code *885# and following the prompts. Postgraduate admission forms are also available at designated banks.
