The Department of Computer Engineering at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is set to host its first-ever three-day conference, aimed at creating a vibrant platform for showcasing innovations, fostering collaboration between industry and academia, and discussing the latest technological trends. The event, scheduled from July 30th to August 1st, 2024, is part of the Department’s initiatives to provide final-year students with exposure and opportunities to interact with industry professionals.
The conference will offer a platform for students to present their innovative projects, with the goal of transforming these ideas into sustainable businesses through co-creation or uptake by existing industries. The Department has partnered with leading industry players including IT Consortium, Telecel Ghana, NCA, NITA, Ghana Digital Centres, Solar Taxi, GIZ, SecurityShade Ltd, Nalo Solutions, INNGEN, IIPGH, and NEIP.
Together, they have designed a comprehensive program featuring seminars, panel discussions, exhibitions, and breakout sessions. Highlights of the event include:
