The Ghana Education Service (GES) has confirmed that first-year students in senior high schools (SHS) for the 2024/25 academic year will commence classes on Friday, September 27. Both school heads and parents are advised to ensure their wards are fully prepared for the new academic term.
According to a press statement issued by GES on Tuesday, July 16, the first-year students will complete their first semester and vacate on December 6. The statement emphasized that all scheduled activities and programs for the semester will proceed as planned, without any alterations.
“Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) wishes to inform all heads of Senior High/Senior High Technical Schools that the re-opening date for 1st year students of the 2024/2025 academic year is set for September 27,” the statement read.
