KNUST Vice-Chancellor, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson, Appointed Patron of POLAS

A 19-member delegation from the Police Ladies Association (POLAS) of the Ghana Police Service in the Ashanti Region recently visited the Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, at the Council Chamber of the University. Led by Superintendent Mary Affanyi, the Manhyia Divisional Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) Commander, the delegation expressed gratitude to Professor Dickson for her patronage of the association and congratulated her on her recent reappointment.

“We are here to seek advice and guidance from our esteemed Patron,” Superintendent Affanyi stated during the visit. “We also want to extend our heartfelt congratulations on the renewal of your appointment as Vice-Chancellor of KNUST.

Your leadership is an inspiration to us all. “In response, Professor Dickson thanked the delegation and emphasized the pivotal role of the Police in maintaining peace and order, essential for creating a conducive environment for education and national development.

“Your work in safeguarding the peace and order in our nation is invaluable. Without a peaceful environment, there can be no calm atmosphere for education.

I applaud the tremendous work you are doing for our country,” Professor Dickson remarked. The courtesy visit underscored the mutual respect and collaboration between KNUST and the Ghana Police Service in promoting societal welfare and educational excellence.
