The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has announced a one-year bursary for brilliant but needy students, aimed at enabling them to pursue their university education. This initiative is open to all regular Ghanaian students currently enrolled in full-time programs at KNUST.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to all regular Ghanaian students currently studying at the university.
- Applicants must be brilliant but needy and pursuing full-time programs.
- Final-year students are not eligible.
- Students on any scholarship/bursary above GHȻ 1500.00 are not eligible.
- Only students with a Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 67 and above are eligible.
- Students who have already applied for the SRC-KBN Bursary are not eligible.
Application Requirements:
- Proof of need
- Admission letter
- Acceptance letter
- Results slip signed and officially stamped by the Exams Officer or Head of Department
Prospective applicants can download the application forms from the university’s website. All documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the applicant’s name, program, reference number, current year, and phone number clearly written on it. The envelope should be boldly labeled “KNUST Bursary.”
Applicants must also complete an online registration before submitting all relevant documents. Submissions should be made at the Directorate of Student Affairs, J. Happer Building, Room 19.
Write-ups should be typed in Times New Roman font, size 12, and double-spaced. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Applicants from the Obuasi campus should submit their forms at the Registrar’s Office on the Obuasi campus. For further inquiries, contact the Student Support and Financial Services Office at the Directorate of Student Affairs.
Submission Deadline:
- Applications must be submitted on or before Friday, July 12, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
