Asante Kotoko’s striker, Steven Dese Mukwala has left the club after his two year contract with the porcupine warriors came to an end. The Ugandan signed for Kotoko in 2022 after leaving URA Football Club after two seasons.
His two year stint with Kotoko saw him netting 25 times in 59 games in the Ghana Premier League. “This is probably the saddest day of my life as I’m saying goodbye to a home that has given me the platform to grow my football career, I want to thank his majesty the King for welcoming me into Ghana and I’m grateful for his words of wisdom.
In a special way, I want to thank Mr Nana Yaw Amponsah for spotting me and finding me to play in one of the biggest clubs in Africa”, were the words of the forward in a video released on X(formerly twitter). “We have shared good and bad times together, you’ve supported me and you will forever be in my heart.
Kumasi is now my home , I know someday we will meet again” was what he added as his last words to the Krobea fraternity. The forward reportedly is set to join Tanzanian giants, Simba Sporting Club after saying a goodbye to Kotoko.
