The game which took place at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon saw Bofoakwa Tano taking a lead in the 22nd minute through the boots of Richard Dzikoe. Nsoatreman after going down piled intense pressure on their opponents in search of an equalizer in the first half which proved futile.

The second half witnessed a massive dominance from Maxwell Konadu’s side which eventually gifted them an equalizer in the 79th minute. Sadat Mohammed’s equalizer took the game to the extra time which produced no game-winning goal and hence penalty shootouts.
