Sister Derby Clarifies London Performance with Medikal; Expresses Support for Friend and Former Partner

Ghanaian singer Sister Derby has addressed the buzz surrounding her recent performance alongside Medikal at his London concert. Contrary to speculations, she emphasized that her appearance was motivated by a desire to support a friend and former partner rather than stir up controversy.

The unexpected collaboration between Sister Derby and Medikal at the concert garnered significant attention, sparking criticism online. Many questioned Medikal’s decision to invite Sister Derby to perform, especially given his current marital issues with Fella Makafui.

However, in an interview with blogger Kwadwo Sheldon following the event, Sister Derby clarified her intentions. She revealed that she accepted Medikal’s invitation to perform their hit track “Too Risky” as a gesture of friendship and support.

“It wasn’t to cause anything; it was basically to support my friend, slash my sweet ex. Yeah, I wanted to come and support.

He also wanted me on the show, so he invited me, and I didn’t have any problem with that. Because we have music together and he’s my friend,” she explained.

Addressing rumors of a romantic reconciliation, Sister Derby laughed off the notion, stating firmly that the chapter of their relationship was closed. She pointed out that they had collaborated on music and performed together since their breakup, indicating a cordial relationship.

Furthermore, Sister Derby expressed her indifference towards Medikal and Fella Makafui’s marital issues, emphasizing that she was not involved in their conflicts. She sarcastically remarked that she had already been “served breakfast” before the feud began, implying that she had moved on from any past romantic entanglements.

As for the ongoing drama between Medikal and Fella Makafui, Sister Derby suggested that only the couple could provide clarity on the situation. She urged critics to refrain from drawing conclusions and emphasized the need for privacy and respect in personal matters.

“I have no means of jubilating because of their sudden feud, and I also have no hand in their marital affairs, so if there is something to be explained, it should be addressed by the couple,” she asserted.

In conclusion, Sister Derby reiterated her stance of support for Medikal as a friend and collaborator while maintaining her distance from his personal life.
