KNUST Student And Joy News Reporter Receives Special Commendation at AIPS Awards for Impactful Sports Reporting

A final-year Media and Communication Studies student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a journalist at the multimedia group, Clinton Yeboah, has been recognized for his outstanding sports journalism at the 2023 International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Awards in Barcelona, Spain. Clinton received a Special Commendation as a Young Reporter for his impactful piece titled “Abandoned Nyinahin Project: A Monumental Disappointment to Youth in Sports in Ghana.”

The article highlights the plight of a neglected sports complex in the Nyinahin community and its detrimental effects on the development of young athletes.
