The Career Services Centre of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, in collaboration with the German Embassy, organized a seminar dubbed ‘Time with the CEO’ for selected student groups pursuing careers in the construction industry. The event, held on Monday, 18th March 2024, at the KNUST Senior Staff Clubhouse, featured the Managing Director of MC-Bauchemie Ghana Limited, Mr. Noble Bediako, as the guest speaker.
The Director of the Centre, Mrs. Selina Angmor, highlighted the seminar’s purpose of providing students with essential skills and knowledge for success in the construction sector. She emphasized the Centre’s role in bridging the academia-industry skills gap and nurturing professional competencies.
KNUST’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo, encouraged students to seize opportunities presented by the program to become industry-ready. German Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Daniel Krull, commended the strong partnership between KNUST and the Embassy.
Mr. Bediako shared insights into the construction industry and opportunities available at MC-Bauchemie, stressing the importance of mindset and work attitude. The seminar concluded with a question-and-answer session and a networking cocktail, allowing participants to engage and share concerns about the world of work.
