Tribal Conflict has Economic Implication on the Country- Dr. Kwesi Biney

A security analyst, Dr. Kwesi Biney has said that tribal conflict has great implications on the country as a whole. According to him, government have to provide incentives for military assistance which intend affect the economy of the country.

He made this known in an interview on Monday evening on Focus FM’s Teknocrat show with Audrey Sika Dzifa. “When there is conflict, you might think it is only the area affected that is experiencing the the effect which is not true.

Now the government had to send money to Bawku in the name of the conflict.” “The money that could be used for equally important development would be channeled to take care of military men, their medical, feeding and travel to that place.

All these things affect the pocket of the government which affect the economy,” he said. Kwesi Biney continued that some politicians are involved in this conflict because of ethnicity and until politicians stop interfering in these tribal conflict, the government cannot do anything to stop it from escalating.

“Some politicians are involved in these tribal conflict and until politicians get out of the situation, there would not be peace in Bawku. So the politicians should get out and allow the police to handle this matter in a mutual way,” he added.
